To the editor:
I would like to make a reply to the ltter in your last weeks paper that was headed, “What’s wrong with Rappahannock.” I would like to say “AMEN” to the whole attack, and I mean by that I agree 100 per cent with the writer of that letter.
They only put it mildly, leaving out a lot that could have been said. We are lifetime people of this county and property owners in this county; yet we have no voice when it comes to deciding what we can do with our own property. It is ours after all; or does it belong to the county?
We pay taxes yet I wonder what for? Since it seems we have no say concerning our land, I think the time has come for a group of concerned citizens to band together and do some doorto-door petitioning, displaying them at places of business. If we want to get anything done, it will be through public pressure—or is it too late? NO, it’s never too late for justice to triumph in this rotten subdivision ordinance matter!
