According to Irvine, the Selective Enforcement Grant will improve Rappahannock’s statistics by strengthening the county's police department and enabling deputies to spend more time patrolling. “This results in more arrests for all traffic offenses with special attention given to drunk drivers, thereby reducing the loses on our highways," Irvine maintained.
