Since the July 24 pre-trial conference in Leesburg. Baumgardner reported, the attorney for the Rap pahan nock supervisors proposed several "clarifying amendments" to the zoning ordinance for adoption.
"It is likely that, if these amendments are adopted, the issues joined will be moot," Baumgardner maintained in his letter.
As a result of these recent developments. Baumgardner proposed that the court “hold in abeyance its ruling regarding the validity ot sections of the zoning ordinance being challenged" until after the Supervisors hold a public hearing and act on the amendments. Baumgardner also stated that his proposal was endorsed bv George Davis, acting as attorney for the Rap pahannock Board ot Supervisors.
