PERSONAL In loving remembrance of my father, James Haywood Jenkins, who passed away three years ago,. August 6, 1975 11 was a sad day in August When we stood beside an open grave And watched them lower one we loved, But could not save. We knew that we could not awake That silent soul that day, So we laid our hearts beside his grave Oh the memory of that day. When we knew that you were gone. Our hearts were filled with sorrow And many tears were shed. Have you ever known the heartache Or ever felt the pain. Or ever wiped the tears away That fall down like rain? if you haven't had the feeling, Then we pray you never do.
