Singleton of Zanesville, Ohio, Terry Biddle of Wooster, Ohio and. Dr. and Mrs. lames Schuler of Tallahassee, Fla. All were here for the I. T. Gore family reunion hosted Saturday night by Mr. and Mrs. Lindstrom at their home. Almost 60 people attended.

Visiting Mrs. A. M. Vemer this weekend from Suffolk were her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Jenkins; granddaughter, Mrs. Gary Fitzgerald; and great-grandson, Jonathan Fitzgerald.
Comer, Angela and Rochelle Smith of Albany, Ga., left Saturday for a short visit with Mr. and Mrs. Comer Smith of North Garden before returning to their home. They had been the houseguests of Mrs. F. Downing Wood. Her Monday evening dinner guests included Mr. and Mrs. Earl K. Edmonds, Jr., Jonathan and Christie of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Earl K. Edmonds, Sr. of Huntly, Miss Mary Miller Wood, Mrs. Kent Reeve and Alice and Mrs. Steve Bailey and Lynn.
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Updike and children, Lee John, Kelly Lynn and Jennifer of Newsoms spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Updike.

Homecoming
The Slate Mills Baptist Church will observe homecoming and revival beginning Sunday, Aug. 13 with Sunday School at 10 a.m. and the morning worship at 11 a.m'. Dinner will be served on the grounds following the worship service. Every service will begin with a song service at 8 o’clock and there will be special music at each service. The Rev. J. C. Jones, pastor of Glen Carlyn Road Baptist Church in Falls Church will be the guest minister. He is a native of Louisville, Ky., a graduate of Georgetown College, Ky. and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served in the student service mission work in Kentucky and was active in the Royal Ambassador camps. Rev. Jones, who has been with his present pastorate since 1951, comes well qualified. The public is invited to attend the services.
