"It will show our intent," interjected Supervisor Clarence Baldwin.
“And we have the legislative authority to do it,” Luke added.
“It’s still an administrative action,” agreed George Davis.
On a motion from Supervisor Butch Eastham, seconded by Baldwin, the Supervisors voted 4-1 to grant the building permit with Wood in opposition.
Later, Baumgardner stated that the Ski Corporation wouldn't use the building permit until after action was taken on the proposed ordinance amendments.
If the amendments ire approved by the Supervisors, the Rappahannock Zoning ordinance will allow the Alpine slide as a use by right in both the business district* in which most of the ski areaproperty lies and in the "renamed -conservationrecreation district.
