These are just some of the photographic visions of Oliver F. "Ollie" Atkins, of Flint Hill, staff photographer on the Saturday Evening Post for 22 years, who died last year. In a career as a photojournalist which spanned over 30 years. Atkins left a visual legacy of more than 15,000 prints and negatives. These have been donated to George Mason University's Fenwick Library by his wife, Marjorie N. Atkins.
A cross section of about 50 works from that collection, displaying Atkins' artistic and journalistic talents, will be presented in an exhibit at the University beginning Sept. 15. Scheduled to run until Oct. 15, the exhibition will be shown in Arts GalleryFenwick. located on the mezzanine of Fenwick Library on the University's main campus.
