Miss Susan Spraker Latham, daughter of Mrs. Armistead Clifford Latham. Jr. and the late Mr. Latham, became the bride of Lewis Edward Huff on Saturday. September 9, 1978. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Allie Payne Huff of Washington. Virginia.
The Rev. Jennings Hobson III performed the ceremony at two-thirty in the afternoon in Trinity Episcopal Church at Washington. Mrs. Landra Dennis Silvey of Amissville was organist.
A large arrangement of white spider mums, snapdragons and gladioli decorated the church and the lighted candlelabra were entwined with ivy.
The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, William L. Payne Sr. of Amissville. She wore a candlelight satin gown designed with a scooped neckline and with sleeves which came to the elbow. The bodice and sleeves were trimmed with deep bands of Alencon lace and matching lace edged the hemline of the skirt which ended in a chapel train. Her fingertip veil of illusion fell from a wide lace bandeau and her flowers were a gold throated cattleya orchid, white miniature carnations, baby's breath and ivy.
