Dinner
W ashington Fire Department is sponsoring a Buffet Dinner on Saturday, December 9 from 5:30 to 8:30 at the Cafeteria of the Rappahannock Elementary School. The dinner will consist of old Virginia ham, roast turkey, roast beef, salad bar, buttered peas, boiled potatoes, green beans and corn, buttered carrots, dessert and beverage.
For adults the price is $5 for all you can eat and children under 12 are S2.50. The proceeds will go toward the final payment on the ambulance recently purchased for the Washington Rescue Squad. The public is urged to enjoy a delightful meal and help the volunteers.

Recreation
A recreation program for adults is being instituted at the local high school gym beginning Thursday ‘’night. November 30 at 8 p.m. The program is open to all adults in the county and members of the school system. Children and students are not allowed to participate.
Gym shoes will be required and at Thursday’s meeting the time for meeting and frequency will be discussed. The program is under the sponsorship of the Rappahannock Athletic Association.
