Musical Program

The Rev. John Trammell and Seven Stars from Germantown, Md. will present a special musical program, Friday, Dec. 1, at 7:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Washington. The service will benefit the youth choir of the church. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Alther of Sperryville are the parents of a daughter. Stacey Michelle, born Nov. 25, 1978 in Culpeper Memorial Hospital. Grandparents of the infant are Mr. and Mrs. Roy Alther of Sperryville and Mrs. Gabe Burke of Washington. Berl Atkins of Sperryville is the greatgrandfather.

Meetings

The Rappahannock Council of Senior Citizens, at its November meeting held Tuesday the 21st approved scheduling meetings through the winter for the third Tuesday of each month. Only, at the last minute, if the weather were inclement, would there be a cancellation.

The council, according to its president, is opposed to the deregulation of gasoline prices, and supports Congressmen John E. Moss of California, Toby Moffett of Connecticut and Andrew Maguire of New Jersey in their call on the Federal Trade Commission to investigate allegations of antitrust violations by the Shell Oil Company in the sale of wholesale gasoline. The Congressman from this district will be urged to support the move.
