I wish to commend the Rappahannock’s Sheriffs Department and State Trooper Moore for the part they so willingly played in the search for my dear brother, Jeremiah Atkins Jr., who died of an apparent heart attack while deer hunting on his Rappahannock farm. Jerry had suffered and survived two previous heart attacks.
1 did not know that my brother was missing nor that so many heroic volunteers were searching the wooded area for him during those long, cold night hours.
