container and a heavy cardboard outer box to protect your goods. Wrap your baked gift with plastic wrap, foil or in a plastic bag. Then line the container with plastic wrap, wax paper or foil. Place your gift inside the container so it fits securely and will not shift. Fill any open spaces with puffed rice, puffed wheat or miniature marshmallows.
Seal the container and decorate, if desired. If the package is to be shipped, label it with the name and address of the person to receive it and place in a sturdy outer box, making sure it is padded on all sides. Seal and label the box for mailing.

Pan-fried Venison Steaks

1 pound “ham” steaks, '/j inch thick
'/« cup thick cream OR evaporated milk
'/< cup flour
3 tablespoons butter OR margarine
Salt, pepper, garlic salt.
Pound steaks thoroughly with sharp-edged meat pounder. Cut into serving pieces. Dip steaks into cream or milk, dredge in flour, and brown one side in hot butter or margarine. Turn. Season with salt and pepper and garlic salt to taste. Continue cooking until second side is well browned. Serve hot. Serves 4.
Leg of Veniaon
Strip all fat from leg of deer.
Be certain to skin off all the white membrane which just covers the lean meat.
Rub well with salt and pepper. Place 1 clove of garlic in each end of leg. ( along the bone, and put in open roasting pan.
Lay 6 slices of bacon over top of leg. Put meat thermometer into center-of leg. -’
Place roaster in 500 degree F oven for 30 minutes.
Reduce heat to 300 degree F and cook until desired temperature is reached.
