Elementary School
Plans for the elementary school call for 8,700 square feet of new space, including a music room, two special education rooms, handicapped toilets, standard toilets, storage, speech and learning disabilities resource rooms with office area. The new rooms will allow for the clinic and audiovisual rooms to revert to their original use. In addition, a new media center will expand the library by 25 per cent. The cost of the elementary expansion including construction, furniture and architect fees should amount to approximately $353,320 at current rates.

Baldwin
Announces
Candidacy
Clarence Baldwin, incumbent for the Hampton District member of the Rappahanock Board of Supervisors, has declared his intentions to seek reelection.
Baldwin, a merchant in Washington, was first appointed to fill the unexpired term of Newbill Miller in 1973. He was elected in 1975 for a full term and wishes to continue in the seat. Baldwin at first considered giving up the position, but said his constituents had pressed him to remain.
