Hearing On Fire
Services Set
The Virginia Fire Services Commissin will hold a public hearing in Woodbridge on April 17 as part of a statewide series to receive comment from firefighters and the general public concerning the adequacy of fire services and need for changes or improvements in present manpower, equipment or performance.
Items planned for discussion include a minimum fire prevention code for the state; voluntary personnel standards for firefighters; a uniform fire incident reporting system and the feasibility of securing federal grants for additional equipment or training.
The meeting for the Northern Virginia area will be held at 7 p.m. on April 17 in the O. W. L. Fire Department meeting hall at 1306 “F” Street in Woodbridge.
