Cale To Lead
Program
Dr. Franklin W. Cale will be the guest speaker at the community Lenten dinner to be held Wednesday, April 4, in the Trinity Episcopal Church parish hall.
Dr. Cale is a resident of Baptist Village, part of the Virginia Baptist Home in Culpeper. A graduate of the University of Richmond and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, he was pastor of the Culpeper Baptist Church for 10 years and of the South Boston Baptist Church for 18 years.
Craft Fair ’79
The Virginia Crafts Council will present its seventh annual Craft Fair on March 30, 31 and April 1. Held at the “Cage” at University Hall, Charlottesville, Craft Fair ’79 will highlight the work of 88 craftspeople as well as two cooperatives representing SO i artists.
A wide variety of items will be displayed for sale including jewelry, leather work, clothing, ornamental ironwork, quilts, rugs, baskets, pillows, pottery, stoneware, sculpture and traditional musical instruments and furniture.
Craft Fair ’79 will be open Friday, March 30, from noon to 9 p.m., Saturday, March 31, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.* and Sunday, April 1, from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $1.75 for adults, $1 for senior citizens and students and 75 cents for children ages 6 to 18. Children under six are admitted free.
