According to a press release from the Virginia Department of Welfare, 3% Rappahannock County residents are eligible for the state administered fuel assistance program. The program will run from December 1 through March 31 and provide up to $23.2 million in cash payments, materials and services to persons unable to pay the sharply increased costs of fuel this winter.
