A preview of the December 1 “Gong Show,” sponsored by the elementary school's seventh grade class as a fund raiser for the annual Williamsburg trip, will be held next Friday, November 30, at 2 p.m.
Audience admission to the Friday rehersal will be 25 cents.
The “for real" show, with prizes awarded to winning performers, will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 1. Admission will be $1.50. Both the show and the rehearsal will be held in the elem 6 titary school auditorium.
The annual trip by the seventh grade class is an educational experience and opportunity for discovery that many of the youngsters will never have again. The opportunity to go is offered to the entire class with costs for those who can’t afford to pay covered with money earned in fund raising activities.
Contributions from those tn the community who won’t be able to attend the "Gong Show” but would like to support the Williamsburg trip may be mailed to seventh grade teachers Susan Henry, Lynn Baines or Becky Hawkins in care of Rappahannock County Elementary School, Sperryville.
