Mr. and Mrs. Howard Fritts of Front Royal were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Reid Payne and Ms. Sheila Estes.

Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Smoot of Goldsboro, N.C. arrived Saturday to spend the Thanksgiving holidays with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Smoot in Sperryville and Mr. and Mrs. Herndon Hudson.

Mrs. Mary G. Edmonds of Huntly was a Thursday visitor of Miss Annie Miller Almond. Miss Almond and Miss Mary Miller Wood were Sunday afternoon visitors of Mr. and Mrs A.H. Keyser at ’’The Oaks”. Sunday evening callers of Miss Almond were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schaefer of Sperryville.

Bill Scoggin from VPI, Blacksburg has arrived to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Scoggin.

Mrs. Brooke Moffett of Norfolk was a Wednesday guest of Mrs. Bertie Lib Moffett, Mrs. D. Lyle Miller visited on Thursday and Mrs. Henry L. Miller of Luray was a Sunday caller.

Saturday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. John Schultz were their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Steven Sengstack of Springfield. On Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Crews entertained with a birthday dinner in honor of Mrs. Schultz. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Sam Caldow.

Mrs. Jessie Wisecarver of Stephens City was a weekend houseguest of her aunt, Mrs. Gilbert Updike.

J. Stant Weaver and his daughter, Mrs. Nick Penaranda of Fairfax were Tuesday luncheon guests of Mr. Weaver’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Honts in Front Royal. John Weaver of Washington, D.C. spent from Friday until Sunday with his father and they were Sunday luncheon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Duncan in Boston.
