Starks

Clarence Arthur Starks, 82, of Happy Creek, Warren County, died Wednesday, November 14, 1979 in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal.

Funeral services were held Sunday at the Macedonia Baptist Church, Flint Hill, with the Rev. James Price. Burial was in the Starks Family Cemetery in Washington, Va.

A native of Rappahannock County, he was the son of the late Albert Starks and Patsy Major Starks, and the husband of the late Fannie Lilia Starks.

He is survived by four sons, James Starks of Happy Creek, Arthur Starks, Haywood Starks and Robert Starks, all of New York City; four daughters, Catherine Starks and Matilda Siders, both of New York City, Edna Cooper of Baltimore, Md. and Anne Mae Starks of Happy Creek; one brother, Tommie Starks of Washington; 40 grandchildren and 29 greatgrandchildren.
