Christmas
Tree Advice
The United States Forest Service has produced a brochure called “Buying Your Christmas Tree” which provides some timely advice on what to look for in a Christmas tree, how to keep it green and attractive and the best way to test a tree for freshness. The booklet also contains descriptions and sketches of some 17 of the most popular species which are available throughout the nation.
Aimed at helping persons to appreciate the pleasures of good, healthy trees for the coming holidays, the publication is free by writing to: Information Services, U. S. Forest Service, 370 Reed Road, Broomall, Pa. 19008.
