The November program of the science seminar series at Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music in Winchester will be devoted to the beauty of observational astronomy.
Through a visual presentation of films and slides, Dr. Joseph Hoffman will discuss some of the exciting topics of modern astronomy, including quasars, black holes, pulsars, white holes, exploding galaxies, wormholes, the fireball of creation and other “things that go bump in the night.”
At the conclusion of the 45-minute program, weather permitting, a short stargazing session will be held and the major constellations will be located. The science seminar will be held in Parker Hall Lounge on November 26 at 7 p.m. The seminar is free and the public is invited to attend. The college’s percussion
