At a special meeting on Monday, March 30, the Rappahannock supervisors unanimously appointed Jerry Hall appraiser for the 100 percent fair market value assessment to be completed in 1981.
The vote by E. P. Luke. Hubert Gilkev and H. B. Wood, the three supervisors attending the early afternoon session, cleared the final block to delaying implementation of the new property values until 1982.
If Hall did not sign the land book before midnight on March 31. he would be in contempt of court, according to supervisor chairman Luke.
If the land book was signed before that deadline, however, it would require the county to implement the new 100 percent fair market values on their year's tax bills.
