No Faith?
To the editor:
I am writing in reference to a recent comment made by one of the school board members. Mr. Eastham said he was offended by the teachers’ “lack of faith in the students.”
I would like to say that I don't think Rappahannock County could have a group of more dedicated and trusting teachers. Our sponsors went before the school board for one reason and that was to get a list of guidelines.
I personally don’t feel that you can ask a group of teachers to chaperone approximately 40 seniors without any guidelines. It is my understanding that the members of the school board were invited to go to Williamsburg as chaperones and they declined. What was the reason for this? No guidelines or a lack of faith?
