Cattle Sale
The Marshall Feeder Cattle Association has scheduled three sales in its spring series of special graded sales at Fauquier Livestock Exchange.
The sales will be held on April 9. April 16 and April 23 at 7 p.m. Each will offer both calves (300-500 lbs.) and yearlings (500 lbs. up) from area cattle producers.
The basic marketing concept underlying the special sales is to offer large groups of mixed-ownership feeder cattle in uniform lots according to grade, breed, sex and weight. To provide buyers with fresh quality animals, consigned cattle for these sales will be delivered to the sale barn on the respective sales dates.
Lenten Service
The ecumenical Lenten service scheduled for next Wednesday, April 8, at Trinity Episcopal parish hall in Washington will begin at 6:15 p.m. with a covered dish supper.
The program for this meeting will be the Rev. Tom Herhek. pastor of Beth Carr and Kapidan Baptist Churches in Madison, with a discussion of grief.
