Performance Set
“The Seven Last Words of Christ” will be performed on Palm Sunday, April 12, by members of Front Royal church choirs.
“The performing of the ‘Seven Last Words of Christ' had been a custom of the Front Royal Oratorio Society until a few years ago. Because of its popularity, we wanted to keep up the tradition of performing this traditional Easter favorite on Palm Sunday." said Betsy Blauvelt, choir director.
Soloists for the performance will be Melanie Cardiol, soprano; Alice Litwin, soprano; Tom Bowen, baritone; and Gary Smallwood, tenor. Accompanists will be Elizabeth Rudacille, organ and Virginia Bethune. piano.
The performance will be given in the John C. Boggs Chapel on the campus of Randolph-Macon Academy at 8 p.m. There is no charge and the public is invited to attend.
