Clean Up

Cub Scouts in Pack 50 of Amissville contributed their time last Saturday morning for the annual clean-up day, working on Route 642 from Amissville to Viewtown.

Following several hours of picking up bottles, cans and other roadside litter discarded by thoughtless motorists, the Scouts moved on to more enjoyable activities with a cook-out in Viewtown at Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Barron’s. Drinks for the outing were donated by Roy Wharton. The Amissville Ruruans also added a cash donation in support of the Scouts’ project.

Youngsters who participated in the clean-up under the direction of leaders Mr. and Mrs. Silas Martin, Mrs. Rachel Ramey, Clarence Dodson, David Milbourne and Mr. and Mrs. Kinsey Wharton were Robby Settle, Neil Curtis, Eric Lacey, Rodney and Randy Ramey, Wayne Dodson and Tony Swan.
