The carnival season will open in Rappahannock next Wednesday with the Amissville fire and rescue personnel kicking off the fund-raising carnival. The Amissville carnival will be held at the grounds just west of the village on Route 211. Proceeds from this event help to provide operating funds for the organization.
Beginning Wednesday, June 17, the gala event will continue through the 18, 19 and climax on Saturday, June 20, featuring rides, games, prizes, food, fun and entertainment for all ages.
Thursday’s main event is the grand parade scheduled to proceed at 7 o’clock and will include fire and rescue
