Fire Leaves
Mrs. Dodson
Homeless
A fire of still unknown origin left Mrs. Anna Mae Dodson of Sperryville homeless on Saturday night, May 30. Mrs. Dodson, 70, was next door when the blaze was discovered simultaneously by Mrs. C. K. Estes, driving along the highway, and a customer at Elmer Atkins station.
Sperryville Fire Department responded, but the blaze was so rapid in the old building that the inside was gutted and all of her possessions lost. Mrs. Dodson is at present living with relatives.
The building which burned was at one time a tea room.
