Noakes

Mrs. Susie Noakes, 62, of Boston died Saturday, June 6, 1981, at the UVA Hospital. She was a native of Rappahannock County.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at the Nazareth Church in Boston by the Rev. R. L. Banks of Culpeper. Burial was in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Gilbert Noakes; six daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Nelson of Arlington, Mrs. Juliette D. Shanks of Reva, Mrs. Viola Frances Garrett, Mrs. Josephine R. Slaughter and Mrs. Virginia L. Jackson, all of Alexandria,' add Mrs. Susie Louise Russell of Culpeper; one son, Charles Frank Noakes of Stanardsville; two brothers, John W. Glasker of Rappahannock and James L. Glasker of New Jersey; five sisters, Mrs. Mae Fannie Nelson and Mrs. Virginia Johnson, both of New Jersey, Mrs. Elizabeth Carpenter of Washington, D. C., Mrs. Rose Ella Hunter of Culpeper and Miss Margaret Glasker of Lynchburg; 29 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
