“I don’t think this is appropriate,” Luke interrupted, agreeing with Eastham that the vote to approve the budget and set a tax rate made many of his points academic.
He noted that the majority of the school board members had endorsed the budget cuts Eastham was challenging. “I’ve looked at the numbers and I’m satisfied. Mr. Cox (the county’s accountant) has looked at the numbers and he’s satisfied,” the chairman said.
