Mr. and Mrs. Frank McWhirt of Chestnut Hills were in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday to attend the funeral of their daughter-in-laws grandmother Mrs. Elsie Powell.
On Saturday at the home of the Me Whirls for the day and to attend the Ruritan Barbecue were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Pierce McWhirt and Matthew and Mr. and Mrs. William Murphy of Fredericksburg; Mr. and Mrs. Michael Murphy of Mine Run; Mr. and Mrs. Russell Ellett of Charlottesville, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Simpson, Ann, Carol and Donald, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Smith, Charles and Harry of Fairfax and Dr. and Mrs. Jay Barnett, Scott and Samuel, Mr. and Mrs. John Thomas of Vienna.
