BZA Approves Permit Requests
The Rappahannock Board of Zoning Appeals issued a special use permit to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pearl and approved a request for a permit extension made by Leon A. Hutcheson during its meeting on Wednesday, June 26.
The Pearls requested a permit because they plan to build more than one dwelling on their property. They plan to eventually build four dwellings on 346.6 acres located on Route 637 near Flint Hill.

The county planning commission recommended approval of the permit application. BZA member Peter Kramer made a motion to approve the application. “I think that it’s a great use of the land,” Kramer said.
All four findings necessary for a permit issuance were made unanimously, and the permit application was approved.
The BZA also approved Hutcheson’s request for an extension of a special use permit. The permit allows Hutcheson and his family to reside in a trailer while their home at Ibarq Farm on Route 211 is being constructed.
Hutcheson requested a year’s extension of the permit. “The trailer is not visible from the road and they are obviously diligently building on the house, so I move that we extend the permit,” Kramer said. His motion was passed unanimously.
