Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Slack of Baltimore, Md. are expected to spend from Wednesday until Sunday as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Clark and grandchildren, Edie Eastham and Richie Eastham for the July 4th activities.
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Pullen recently entertained with two birthday celebrations in honor of their granddaughter, Carrie Davis Baldwin’s fourth birthday and also for their son, Lewis Pullen, Jr.
Those attending were Carrie’s mother, Mrs. Joan Baldwin, Pamela Pullen, Jerry Pullen, Greg Pullen, Ellen Pullen and Sammy Bruce.
The community was saddened to hear of the death of Mr. Byrd Updike, formerly a local resident in town. Our deepeset sympathy to his family.
Mrs. Mary Hudson tells us that her mother, Mrs. Frances Eubank is still a patient in Warren Memorial Hospital and is visited daily by her family.
Saturday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Brown and Amanda were Mr. and Mrs. Tim Brown and Jason.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lardie of Lorton were Friday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Keyser.
Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Payne were Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Giles of Warrenton, Mrs. Gladys Moore of Arlington, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Payne and Mrs. Linda Jenkins, all of Culpeper and Mr. and Mrs. Reid Payne of Flint Hill.
Later in the evening Mr. Luther Payne was transported to Warren Memorial Hospital, where he remains a patient.
Mrs. Mary O’Bannon of Warrenton entertained Mrs. Mary Quaintance of Sperryville and Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Keyser for dinner Saturday evening at the Amissville fire hall.
Mr. and Mrs. Price Wood and sons of Richmond will be July fourth weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. R.O. Bridges.
