Items which may be exhibited include canned fruits and vegetables, pickles and relishes, and jellies and preserves, baked goods, clothing, arts and crafts, flowers, garden vegetables, and photography. There is also a department For Men Only and includes classes in Baked Goods, Crafts, Flowers, and Vegetables.
Tuesday, July 16 is the deadline for entries. Interested persons may call their local Extension Service office in Culpeper (825-2233), Madison (9486881) or Rappahannock (675-3619) or visit these offices to receive a show schedule, entry forms and other information.
In addition to the animal shows and entries exhibited, other events highlighting the week include a McDonalds farm petting zoo for small children, the greased pig chase and hog calling contest which usually attracts nearly 800 people.
