Story Hour at Rappahannock Library

Beginning July 10 at 10 a.m. the Rappahannock County Library will begin its summer story hour for children age 2-4. Along with the stories there will also be arts and crafts. The story hour will be five consecutive Wednesdays; July 10, 17, 24, 31 and August 7 from 10-11 a.m. On August 7 there will be a puppet show given by Maggie Rogers.

Any parent interested in signing up their child please come by the library or call at 675-3780 before July 10.

Jenkins Family Reunion Scheduled

The third annual family reunion of the late Aubrey R. and Ellen Baker Jenkins has been scheduled for Sunday, July 21 at the Rappahannock Park on Route 211 near Washington. All relatives and friends are invited. For additional information call 675-3662.

4-H Day and Overnight Camp Schedules

Seniors’ 4-H camp at the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center near Front Royal will be July 12-14. The Seniors’ 4-H camp is for persons 55 years of age or older. The cost is $40 per person which includes five meals, two nights of lodging and most program materials.

4-H Junior camp wall be held July 15-19 at the Northern Virginia 4H Educational Center for 4th, 5th and 6th graders.

Farm Show Scheduled For July 25-29

Culpeper-Madison-Rappahannock farm show will be held July 25-29 at Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises. Entries must be turned in at the Rappahannock Extension Office by Monday, July 15. For additional information call the Extension office at 675-3619.

Sperryville 4-H Club To Meet

The Sperryville Community 4-H Club will meet dn Monday, July 15 at 7 p.m. at the fire hall. All area youngsters between the ages of 9 and 19 are invited to attend.

Late Registration At Lord Fairfax

Lord Fairfax Community College will conduct late registration for courses which will be offered during the second half of the Summer Quarter, on Thursday, July 11 and Monday, July 15 from 5 to 7:15 p.m. at the College’s Admissions Office.

The five week session begins on Thursday, July 11 and ends Thursday, August 15. Tuition is $17.75 per credit for in-state ($77 per credit for out-of-state) and is due at the time of registration. A late registration fee of $10 will also be due. First time students must complete an application for admission.
