Marian White’s Revolutionary War ancestor, William Bowen, enlisted with Captain Benjamin Roberts in 1779. While under Captain Roberts’ command, he marched to the falls of the Ohio. Corporal Bowen also served under Colonel George R. Clark for two years. He finished his service under Major George Slaughter.
