The Proposals on this project should include the pro I posed cost of the project and all significant additional information the firm wishes to submit. Since this structure is of historical significance, quality workmanship is mandatory Co operation and teamwork with the Owner, Engineer, and M l Iright are essential. Factors and information which will bear the proper execution of the work should be included in the Proposal. Potential change orders should be addressed in the Proposal.
The award will be made by the Owner on the basis of the best Proposal in the opinion of the Owner. Evaluation of aii factors for the proper execution of this work, consideration of potential future change orders, and the cost of the project anticipated through completion of the project will be considered by the Owner.
The Owner and Engineer will evaluate the proposals and notify the highest ranked proposer If for any reason this pro oedure does not produce a contract, the next highest rated proposer win be notified, etc. The Owner reserves the right to reject alt Proposals, and to negotiate with any qualified Contractor as deemed appropriate in the sole judgment of the Owner.
Drawings and specifications for the above project will be available at the office of WILLIAM J DAVIS CONSULTING ENGINEERS, 1641 West Broad Street, Richmond. Virginia 23220, and at the site with prior arrangement made through the Owner, telephone: 604-786-5539.
An initial conference will be held with the Engineers at 1:00 p.m. o'clock July 16,1985, at the site on State Route 50 in Aldie, Virginia, for the purpose of explaining the project to prospective bidders prior to the submittal of pre-qualifications
Applications requesting drawings and specifications together with payment of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per set, should be filed with the Engineers in Richmond. Drawings and specifications will be available at the above conference The desired material may be picked up at either the Engineers s office or at the site with prior arrangements. Any bidder on the General Contract or a sub-bidder to a bidder on the General Contract, upon returning his material in good condition to the Engineer’s office or to the site with prior arrangement within ten (10) days after Proposal opening, will be refunded his full deposit.
Proposer's attention is called to the requirements of Title 54, Chapter 7 of the Code of Virginia, pertaining to the contractor’s registration.
Each proposer shall acknowledge on the outside of the envelope containing his proposal that the proposer has re ceived all addenda (if any) and the addenda numbers.
The VIRGINIA OUTDOORS FOUNDATION reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive any formality or technicality in any Proposal in the best interest of the Owner.
