The Rappahannock Woman’s Club will meet on Tuesday, January 28, at 8 p.m. at the home of Pat Giles.in Washington.

EMS classes to be held
The Culpeper County Volunteer Rescue Squad and the Rappahannock Rapidan EMS Council Office will sponsor an Emergency Medical Technician course beginning February 6 at 7 p.m.
Classes will meet every Monday and Thursday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the classroom at Culpeper Memorial Hospital, and are open to the public. The instructor will be Skip Wolfford. There will be a fee for text books and materials needed for the class.
Registration and further information may be obtained by calling the EMS office at 825-6849 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Registration will also be taken for an EVOC course beginning February 14 at 7 p.m. at the Culpeper Fire/Rescue building. The remaining portion of the course will be given Saturday or Sunday (your choice), February 15 or 16. Instructor will be J. Russell Teel of the Marshall Rescue Squad.
Karate classes
The new karate series sponsored by The Child Care and Learning Center will begin Wednesday, January 29, at the Community Center. Arthur Drago will offer this series for 12 weeks. For more information call the Center at 675-3237.
Puppet workshop
The Child Care and Learning Center is sponsoring a puppet workshop given by Maggie Rogers. The date will be set for late January or early February.
See Ice Capades
Tuesday, February 11, is the registration deadline for the trip to the Capital Center to see the Ice Capades performance Saturday, February 15. The cost of the trip is $21 for Fauquier County residents and $25 for non-residents. The bus will leave Fauquier High School at 2 p.m. and return around 9 Saturday evening. All seats for the performance will be in section 121 which is the center section on the lower concourse.
Stars performing include 1984 World Champions Paul Martini and Barbara Underhill and 1980 Olympic Gold Medalist Robin Cousins. A special performance will be given by The Ewoks.
