4-H teen weekend
Summer-In-The-Winter Festival! Plans are now complete for the annual “Summer-in-the-Winter Festival” program which will be held at the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center February 7-9, 1986. Cost for the weekend will be $30.00.
Please come by or call the Rappahannock Extension Office at 6753619 for a copy of the program and registration forms. The deadline is February 1. Virginia Cooperative Extension programs, activities, and employment opportunities are available to all people regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, handicap, or political affiliation.
The fun and excitement of the circus and old time vaudeville come to life when the New World Theatre Company appears at Lord Fairfax Community College on Friday, January 24, at noon. New World will present “The Hot and Cold Running Circus,” an event for the entire family. It is filled with clowning, juggling, music and fire eating that will excite and entertain the young and old alike.
Don’t miss this chance to see the New World Theatre Company on January 24, at noon at Lord Fairfax Community College. The public is invited to attend. There is no charge for the performance.
The Germ anna Community College Nursing Program is now accepting applications for entry into the program. The Nursing program is a two-year, full-time day course which prepares graduates to qualify to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Virginia registered nurses. Graduates of the program receive an Associate in Applied Science degree with a major in nursing.
The deadline for applications to be received at the Germanna campus in February 14.

The Stroke Support Group will meet the fourth Wednesday of each month at 4 p.m. in the Physical Therapy Department of Warren Memorial Hospital. The Support Club is for persons who have had a stroke and/or members of their families. This group is self-directed and its members have been sharing experiences and methods of coping with situations related to strokes. There is no charge for attending this group meeting.
The Diabetic Support Group will meet the first Tuesday of »ach month at 7 p.m. in the hospital conference room. Free blood sugar monitoring will be available.
Free blood pressure screening is done every Wednesday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the South Lobby.
