Lilly Smoot
Lilly Smoot, 78, of Stephens City, formerly of Woodville, died Thursday, January 16, 1986, at Winchester Medical Center. She was a native of Rappahannock County.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph Lewis Smoot of Stephens City and Paul James Smoot of Woodstock; two daughters, Lilia Jenkins of Stephens City and Frances Wheeling of Strasburg; a sister, Flora Walters of Stephens City; 13 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, January 19, at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper by Rev. Bobby Rooper. Interment was at Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Jeffersonton.
Pallbearers were Frankie Smoot, Wayne Smoot, Joseph Smoot, Silas Foster, Ed Baker and Johnny Woodward.
