INVITATION TO BID

INVITATION TO BID The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors hereby invites interested contractors to submit bids to provide all labor and materials for bid items No. 1 through No. 4 inclusive as related to the renovation of the interior of the courtroom of the Rappahannock County Courthouse in accordance with drawings and specifications which are available in the Clerk’s Office of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County, Washington, Virginia, from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday. The bidding procedures for competitive sealed bidding provided by the Virginia Public Procurement Act, Section 11-37 et seq of the Code of Virginia, shall apply. Bid items are defined as follows: Item No. 1 Insulation, including the removal and disposal of existing attic insulation, complete. Item No. 2 Electrical work, complete. Item No. 3 Mechanical work, complete. Item No. 4 Acoustical ceilings, including removal and disposal of existing ceilings, and related work, complete. Bidders may submit bids on any item, all items or any combination of items. The County reserves the right to have its architect inspect any portion of the construction project, to assure compliance with specifications. Sealed bids should be submitted to the Clerk of the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors, at P. O. Box 116, Washington, Virginia, 22747, so to be received by her no later than 11:30 A.M. on Monday, February 3,1986, at which time bids will be opened and publicly read. To be acceptable a bid must state a fixed price, must contain the name, address and telephone number of the bidder, and must be signed by the bidder. The winning bidder will be expected to sign a standard A.I.A. or similar contract with the County of Rappahan/ nock. Applicable provisions of the Virginia Public Procurement Act will be included in said contract. Rappahannock County reserves a right to reject any, or all, bids.
