Francis LaCava
Francis Xavier LaCava, 71, of Castleton, died Sept. 25 at the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville.
Mr. LaCava was a former president of Federal Government Accountants Association (FGAA) and chief accountant of the University of Pittsburgh Health Center. He was also associated with Health, Education and Welfare and the Social Security Agencies.
He is survived by his wife Helen LaCava and three step-children, Livingston Satterthwaite of California, Patricia Satterthwaite and Frank Satterthwaite of Cambridge, Mass.
Funeral services were private.
John Barbour Sr.
John Marshall Barbour Sr., 74, of Washington, Va., died Sept. 22 at the Fauquier Hospital.
Mr. Barbour was bom Apr. 15, 1913, in Rappahannock County, the son of the late Marshall Franklin Barbour. He was a deacon of the First Baptist Church and worked for the Area Landscaping Company in Fairfax.
Surviving are his wife Ora R. Barbour, his mother Annie Garnett Barbour of Washington, D.C., two daughters, Joan Bailey and Charlotte Freeman of Washington, two sons, John Marshall Barbour Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska, and Theodus Barbour of Washington, a brother, five sisters, 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
His funeral service was conducted Sept. 26 at the First Baptist Church in Washington by the Rev. Wendell Grant. Burial was in the Oddfellows Cemetery in Washington.
Blanche Richard
Mrs. Blanche Jackson Richard, 77, of Alexandria, formerly of Rappahannock County, died Sept. 21 at an Alexandria hospital.
