Randy Smith of Amissville
was winner of the junior fox horn blowing contest held last week in Fredericksburg. This is the fourth consecutive year he has placed first in the contest which is held in connection with the Fredericksburg Fall Festival and Dog Mart. Randy is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Smith.
The Rappahannock County , Garden Club will meet Wednesday, October 11, at 2 p.m. at the « home of Mrs. Francis J. Leonard in Amissville. Mrs. tieonard’s program topic will be “Chrysanthemums” and the exhibit will be an arrangement of chrysanthemums.
The Rappahannock County Garden Club won an honorable mention with their exhibit at the South River Garden Club show September 19 with the theme Voice of Autumn.
