As a resident of the 6th Congressional District, the 6th having onlv one member on the Committee, I had hoped that I would be named to Finance and give up one of my other committee. (Also, being the only certified public accountant in the Senate, logic would indicate I should be on Finance.) When asked about 'the violations, Richard Holland, chairman of the Democratic Steering Committee, said, “We can do anything if we have the votes.”
I am continuing to serve on the same four committees that I sat on during the last four-year term: Local Government^Transportation; Privileges and Elections; and Rehabilitation and Social Services.
I plan to report on some of the Governor’s budget items next week.
