Representatives from the
Rappahannock Education Association presented salary requests for the coming year to School Board members at last week’s board meeting. Before going into detail on salary and fringe benefit proposals, Association president Donald Bomberger told the School Board members that teachers didn’t expect them to go alone to the supervisors and ask for more money. “We pledge our support to show the supervisors that teachers are worth what they’re being paid^” he promised. Susan Hrbek,' chairman of the salary committee, read salary requests that call for a, $700 increase for each step on the teacher pay scale plus the addition of a 15th step.
