She is survived by three children from a former marriage, Wheatley Shackelford, Amelia Dodson and Mamie LaClair, all of Culpeper, two brothers, Harold Phillips of Stafford and Homer Phillips of Culpeper, four sisters, Annabelle Edwards of Remington, Virginia Blankenship of Brandy Station, Jean Scroggins of Culpeper and Linda May Frazier of Amissville, four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. and Mrs. Cooper were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Samts in Culpeper.
Their frmeral was conducted Jan. 16 at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper by Bishop John Fotenos. Interment was at the Midland zeftetery.
Etelee Putnam
Etelee Pullen Putnam, 67, of Front Royal, died Jan. 14 in the Warren Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Putnam was bom Aug. 11, 1920, in Rappahannock County, the daughter of the late Horace C. Pullen Sr. and Elizabeth Noakes Pullen. She was retired from the FMC Corp.
Her husband Earl Lee Putnam predeceased her. She is survived by three sons, Earl L. Putnam Jr., Nelson Putnam and Ted Putnam of Front Royal, two daughters, Linda Livingston of Front Royal and Marie Putnam of Culpeper, a brother James T. Pullen of Falls Church, a sister Ruth L. Harding of Arlington, and eight grandchildren.
A funeral service was conducted Jan. 16 at the Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. Jerry Young. Burial was in Panorama Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Douglas Dove, Tommy Megeath, Gary Hedrick, Max Dove, Butch Eastham and Bobby Compton.
