Father’s Day or Christmas.”

Apparently, he’s not the only one who thinks so. In December, in its pre-Christmas “Home” section, the Washington Post called the hammer “a striking gift.”

He called the editor of a trade magazine, Gifluxire News, telling him that he had a great new gift idea for men. “I built it up, but never told him what it was. I said, ‘I’ll mail you one —- you tell me what you think’. ”

The editor called back as soon as he received the hammer, telling Mr. Von Fange “it’s the greatest gift idea for men I’ve ever seen.” He said he often gives the gift idea samples he receives to his secretaries, “but none of them is getting this hammer.” The magazine plans an article about the hammer later this year.
