A caravan will bring the 10 Soviet visitors to Rappahannock County on Thursday. Hosts should arrange their schedules so they are available during the day.
On Thursday evening, Jan. 28. a community covered-dish supper will be held at the Washington Fire Hall at, 6:30 p.m. Nels Parson is coordinating that event, and requests that reservations to attend the dinner be made with him. The fire hall can accommodate approximately 100 people. He will also oversee the menu to assure a varied and delicious meal. Mr. Parsons can be reached at 6753122. There will be a nominal charge to cover the costs of drinks and clean-up services.
Thursday, if time allows, we would like to tour Chris Parrish's farm on Rt. 729. Mr. Parrish served as a Russian translator in the l1. S. Army and could give detailed explanations to the visitors in their native tongue. v
Also on the list of possibilities Thursday is a trip to Front Royal for the weekly livestock auction. If time doesn’t permit, the group may opt for a tour of the Giant supermarket in Warrenton on its way out to the county.
