Lucy Thornhill

Lucy Elizabeth Thornhill, 82, of Boston, died Jan. 15 in Culpeper Memorial Hospital.

A native of Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lizzie Weaver Bailey. Her husband was ,the late Charles Henry Thornhill.

Mrs. Thornhill was a retired practical nurse. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church at Boston and the Daughters of the American Revolution, Rappahannock chapter.

She is survived by three sons, Joseph W. Thornhill of Culpeper, Charles Ashby Thornhill and Thomas Lindsay Thornhill of Boston, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was conducted Jan. 17 at Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper by the Rev. John Warren.

Pallbearers were Arthur Gray Jr., Ronnie Carpenter, Pete Boyd, John Perryman, Elwood Jenkins and Jay Crawford.
