After agreeing to nearly all of the changes recommended by the town’s attorney, Washington Planning Commission Chairman William Wickens announced that the commissioners may have a draft of the revised subdivision ordinance in hand by the end of September.
Mr. Wickens also announced that Commissioner Gloria Robinson has resigned because she has moved out of town. One of the requirements of members of the town’s boards is that they be residents.
The commission, which has been working on the document for several months, met on Sept. 1 af a special session postponed from late August. Commissioners Wickens, Bill Frizzell, Susan Parrish and Reinhardt Lynch had questions about revisions which dealt with roadways within subdivisions — the same sections which prompted questions during approval of Rev. Richard Scott’s subdivision several months ago.
